EVENT DESCRIPTION:

Region Cadet Leadership School provides Phase III and IV cadets an opportunity to gain leadership knowledge, skills and experience through hands on exercises and classroom instruction. This school also provides senior level cadet officers a broader insight into the larger scale operation of the cadet program and enhances the cadet’s executive leadership and management skills of the cadet program.

ELIGIBILITY:

Cadets must have completed the Billy Mitchell Award. Award must be posted to National Database NLT 15 December 2009. Cadets must be at least 15 years of age by 15 December 2009. Cadets must be in good standing within respective squadron.

 

 
APPLICATION PROCESS:  

Complete the following forms:

Submit both forms along with a check or money order payable to "GA Wing Civil Air Patrol, RCLS" prior to 15 December to:

TUITION:

The cadet fees are $65.00, and must be submitted with the application. These fees cover Meals and Billeting only. Fee does not cover transportation to or from the event. No other expenses are forecasted. Refund requests must be received by the activity director NLT 15 December 2009. Students that are a No Call/No Show will not be afforded a refund. Payment may be made by check or money order, payable to "GA Wing Civil Air Patrol, RCLS.” In the event the School is full or a cadet is otherwise not accepted for participation, a refund will be afforded.

 
TRANSPORTATION: 

Transportation to and from RCLS is a member expense and responsibility with one exception. Any member flying in to either Augusta Regional Airport (Bush Field) or Daniel Field, both in the Augusta Area, will be picked up by CAP Van for transport to and from Fort Gordon. Being picked up at local airport does require advance notice of your arrival flight information. Call activity director to arrange.

Access to Fort Gordon in privately owned vehicle or corporate vehicle requires the following paperwork:

1.       Valid State Driver’s License

2.       CAP Identification Card

3.       Proof of Vehicle Insurance

4.       Proof of Vehicle Registration

5.       Destination location on Fort Gordon: Building #21716

Transportation during the RCLS is provided by CAP on Fort Gordon. There is no requirement to exit or leave Fort Gordon during the RCLS. All activities are confined to the post.
